This should look very familiar to one of your favorite (?!?) social networks… Twitter. We couldn’t really find any reason to “innovate” on this type of user experience… so, we’re not going to waste time trying to.
Some things are just best left “as is” because… they just work really well at the moment. Pete and I are trying our best to save time where we can so we can move product faster.
